Appraisals are getting a makeover! 🏡
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are moving away from the old numbered appraisal forms (like the 1004 and 1007) to a new standard called UAD 3.6. Instead of an appraiser picking a form, the system will determine what data is needed based on the details of your loan.
What does that mean for you? The new format is designed to bring more consistency to appraisal reports, clearer data, and fewer back-and-forth revisions, all aimed at a smoother process.
📅 Two dates to know:
✔️ October 14: CCM begins ordering UAD 3.6 appraisals only for conventional loans
✔️ November 2: Only UAD 3.6 appraisals can be submitted. An older-format appraisal submitted on or after this date would need to be redone.
