Southern Resin, Inc. is an industry leading and privately owned manufacturer in the Thomasville area. Founded in 1988, the company manufactures synthetic resins and other specialty chemicals for industrial application. We are seeking a friendly and professional person to join our team.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

-Kettle batch processing for Urea/Formaldehyde with manual valves
-Load and unload product from trucks
-Stage raw materials (bags, totes, buckets, drums)
-Be able to lift bags of product weighing 55lbs
-Minor repairs to kettles during production once trained
-Maintain raw materials inventory
-Complete in-process QC testing during batches
-Operate Tractor Trailer on the yard

Qualifications:

-Must have driver license and reliable transportation
-Be able to lift 55 lb. bags
-Forklift experience preferred but not required

Work Hours:

-7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license
Must have a clean driving record for the past 3 years
Must pass a DOT physical
No DUI or DWI convictions in the past 7+ years

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service.
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
Maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/Unloading freight (mainly tanker) or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Other tasks as assigned

Job responsibilities include professionally responding to customer requests, assisting with entering orders, creating bill of ladings, maintaining raw material inventory, purchasing raw materials and verifying receipt, processing new hire documents, preparing weekly management reports for production and deliveries, processing COA, inventory and deliveries in SAP system and assisting with invoicing, payables, and additional job duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree preferred
Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong communication skills and good phone etiquette are required
Multi-tasking skills, attention to detail and organization skills are required
Experience with SAP and manufacturing environment preferred but not required
