Buying a 🏘 can be both excited and terrifying. By far, buying a house is the biggest financial decision that the average person will ever make.

Below are some things NOT to do when purchasing a 🏘. These are also some of the MOST common mistakes buyers make when looking for a 🏘.

1. Don’t shop for home without a agent.✖️You can start by looking online at pretty houses but when it’s time to get serious, hire a license professional like myself to represent you throughout the process. ✔️
2. Don’t meet with just one Mortage lender.✖️Once you found your real estate agent your next step is to get pre-approved for your home loan. Getting at least three quotes from different mortgage lenders is the normal- you’re looking for the best loan and interest rates for yourself and your family.✔️
3. Don’t understate your budget!✖️ Crazy right?.. Quite often home buyer make the mistake and hide their true budget away from their real estate agents. However, if you’re not upfront about your price range you could be missing out on some great homes. ✔️
4. Don’t hold out for the perfect house.✖️People use the term dream house very loosely. The truth is there are no dream house. 😂
5. Don’t make ridiculous lowball offers.✖️Everyone wants a deal but trying to get one might cost you the house that you love especially in today’s market. ✔️
6. Don’t forget to budget for your closing cost.✖️In some cases the home seller can cover the full closing cost but don’t forget your closing cost. ✔️
7. Don’t make big purchases before you close.✖️Don’t take on any new debts while you are in the home buying process. Taking out a car or maxing out your credit card can for example; really hurt your credit score and can cause you to lose your chance of purchasing.✔️
