RMA just announced an additional 60 days to pay federal crop insurance premiums, interest free. The revised due date is December 1 with a postmark date of November 30. (The prior due date was October 1 with a postmark date of September 30).

Patricia Swanson BACKGROUND:Farmers and ranchers are facing challenges in many parts of the nation. Concerns have been expressed about the requirement to pay crop insurance premiums timely to avoid accrual of interest.

USDA is investing $500 million to boost domestic fertilizer production through the new Fertilizer Investment & Expansion for Long-term Domestic Supply (FIELDS) Program! Individual awards will range from $15 million to $150 million.

The FIELDS Program is designed to support projects that are:
✔️ Independent and outside the dominant fertilizer suppliers
✔️ Made in America
✔️ Innovative
✔️ Energy dominant and secure
✔️ Farmer focused
