Art on The Ave reminded us why Tacoma is such a special community. On August 9, ten blocks of 6th Ave came alive with local art, music, food, small businesses, youth performances, live murals, and thousands of neighbors celebrating creativity together.

With 200+ vendors, five stages, kid zones, and so many moments of connection, this year’s festival was a beautiful reflection of the people who make Tacoma vibrant. As the presenting sponsor, TAPCO Credit Union was honored to support an event that uplifts local artists, strengthens small businesses, and celebrates the community we proudly serve.

More than 1,400 Tacoma Public Schools students are experiencing housing instability or are unhoused.

Behind that number are local families working toward stability and a place to call home.

A past financial setback should not stand in the way of a family’s future. That’s why we created TAPCO’s Housing Entry Loan Program to help Tacoma families overcome housing barriers through affordable lending, financial coaching, and community support.

This work is possible through support from the GoWest Foundation and partnerships with Tacoma Public Schools, Mercy Housing, and the Multicultural Family and Child Hope Center.
