Q: Does Original Medicare cover chiropractic services?

A: Original Medicare provides limited coverage for chiropractic services only when medically necessary like manual manipulation of the spine. Medicare does not extend coverage to additional services or tests recommended by a chiropractor. This includes exclusions for X-rays, massage therapy, and acupuncture (unless the acupuncture is specifically aimed at treating chronic low back pain).
