I had the pleasure of funding multiple loans for Veterans this week. One was manually underwritten. Such loans can be extensive and somewhat cumbersome. We worked to restore his entitlement, which wasn't reflecting properly, used seller concessions to pay off a significant amount of personal debt, and get him to the closing table. Another was fairly straightforward; however, the Veteran needed support in navigating modern technology. His Realtor and I teamed up to find solutions to meet his needs. He was extremely pleased with his interest rate, which was able to be bought down through my benefit. This program is a simple thank you that I personally give to Vets. It gifts them 1% of the loan amount towards their closing costs or rate buy down. I love our military and am thankful for the opportunity to honor them in this small way.

I closed the hardest transaction I've ever done in my career as a loan officer today. It was EXTREMELY stressful for weeks. I said earlier today that I thought I would cry when it closed (I'm not someone who cries often). The best part about it was the clients calling me after funding, telling me they recognize it would not have closed if it wasn't for me. They were gracious and thankful. Their words almost made me cry. I'm emotionally exhausted from the roller coaster that this transaction was. It's always worth it though, because it's about the people involved. If you keep that at the forefront, you'll work harder and dig deeper to deliver every time. This one was for a Veteran's family. It's my pleasure to serve them and their dreams.
