The Bar Plan was honored to be part of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s 70th Anniversary Gala — an evening celebrating 70 years of Action, Justice, and Hope.

Since 1956, Legal Services has advanced justice through legal representation, education, and supportive services, partnering with the community to improve lives, promote fairness, and create opportunities for those in need. During that time, they have provided free legal assistance to more than one million low-income individuals and families across 21 Missouri counties.

Congratulations on this incredible milestone, and thank you for all you do to serve our community.

Please join us in welcoming David Mayer to the Board of Trustees of The Bar Plan Foundation.

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, The Bar Plan Foundation advances the legal profession through education in ethics, malpractice prevention, and professionalism in the practice of law. Through initiatives including ethics CLE programming, a risk management hotline, law school scholarships, and charitable giving efforts, the Foundation takes a multi-faceted approach to supporting attorneys and the public.

We would also like to recognize and thank Dave Larson for his extraordinary service to the Foundation Board. Dave recently stepped down after serving as a trustee since the Foundation's inception in 1993. We are deeply grateful for his many years of leadership and dedication.

April marks a milestone for our Senior Bonds Underwriter, Deborah Eller — 15 years with The Bar Plan!

Debbie’s deep knowledge and commitment to delivering timely, accurate service to the attorneys, notaries, public administrators, and others we serve make her a true leader. What she finds most rewarding is helping clients through difficult moments — often when they need a bond after the loss of a loved one — and making the bonding process as smooth as possible for them.

Outside of work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, reading books, and exploring different parks with her dog. You might also be surprised to learn she was raised on a farm in Lebanon, Missouri, where she grew up riding horses, milking goats, and feeding pigs.
