In appraising old relic or pristine fi****ms a factory letter from C**t or Buffalo Bill Center of the West can give you provenance on your firearm of manufacturing date , place of delivery , special order features of engraving , barrel length, wood grade etc..

These little things are where the aughts, naughts and ciphering come into play. The documentation of these can GREATLY increase the values many fold the cost of these lettters. Just like oiling the steel down regularily to preserve the finish , these letters will preserve and protact the values with provenance.. The costs are minimal compared to the added value should you need to sell , value for estate probate or insurance values should they be damaged or stolen.

If I recommend getting a letter it is with good cause that it may increase the value from historical ends. It takes approximatelt 4 weeks for these to be produced , so let's plan ahead when doing your appraisals. It truly ciphers out.
