As we count down to this weekend's Annual Gala, our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible generosity of the Charles Lea Center Foundation, led by President Marisa Cecil.

For years, the CLC Foundation generously supported this beloved tradition, helping create unforgettable memories for the individuals we serve. While the gala was paused during the COVID era, we're thrilled to bring it back and grateful for the CLC Foundation's continued support through a generous $9,000 gift.
This year's "A Night in Vegas" Gala will be filled with food, music, dancing, and celebration, all centered on the amazing individuals we serve. As staff recently came together to create the event's centerpieces, we were reminded that special nights like this are made possible by a community that believes in creating meaningful experiences.

Thank you to the CLC Foundation for helping us revive this cherished tradition and create new memories for years to come. 🎲♠️🎉

🍂 As we step into fall, we’re looking back at an unforgettable summer at CLC!

The men and women who receive services as well as staff packed the season with creativity, laughter, and big moments and this video captures it all.
Highlights include:
• The incredible ChesLea Talent Show, where our performers absolutely shined
• A surprise visit from the Ice Cream Man, complete with an ice cream truck transformed to roll right down our halls
• Staff celebrations like our NC Team BBQ
• And our heartfelt Longevity Service Awards, honoring the dedication that keeps CLC strong

⭐ Celebrating Chasidy Ford! ⭐

Some heroes don't wear capes. They simply step up when it matters most.
We were recently contacted by a grateful woman who shared how Chasidy Ford, a Registered Behavior Therapist in the Charles Lea Center's Clinical Services Department, saved her life while shopping at a local store. When the woman began choking, Chasidy acted quickly, performed the Heimlich maneuver, and helped avert a tragedy.

Her calm under pressure, selfless actions, and willingness to help a complete stranger are a powerful reminder of the impact one person can have.
Chasidy, thank you for your compassion, bravery, and dedication to helping others. Your actions exemplify the values we strive to uphold every day, and we couldn't be prouder to have you as part of the Charles Lea Center team.

A huge thank you to our CES Career Prep – Employment Skills Training Program - participants for the outstanding job they did assisting with a recent event at the Charles Lea Center! 💚

From setting up tables and chairs to helping with food service and breaking down the room afterward, this team brought a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service every step of the way.

These real-world opportunities provide valuable hands-on training, helping participants build confidence, develop workplace skills, and gain experience they can proudly include on their resumes as they prepare for future employment.
