⚠️ Warning long post ahead!
I have a confession… before I started working at Chase, I had no idea who Jamie Dimon was. 😂 Which, looking back now, is actually kind of wild.
Since joining the firm, I’ve learned not only about the person leading JPMC, but just how influential his voice is in conversations surrounding business, leadership, public policy and the U.S. economy.
Earlier this month, Jamie and other JPMC leaders traveled across California for the Golden State Bus Tour—meeting with employees, community leaders, and local government officials along the way.
In Los Angeles, JPMC employees celebrated our connection to the upcoming LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games and heard from former Olympians about resilience, preparation and performing at the highest level. 🇺🇸
And then there was Orange County… 💙
I was incredibly lucky to be randomly selected to attend an employee Town Hall and hear directly from Jamie and our leadership team.
And I have to say—I was not expecting him to be THAT funny. 😂
I was laughing throughout the entire conversation. He was candid, quick-witted, incredibly knowledgeable and refreshingly straightforward. He’s direct about what he thinks, explains why he thinks it, and somehow makes enormously complicated issues feel straightforward.
Hearing him in person gave me an entirely different appreciation for his leadership and the leadership behind this firm.
But one of my favorite parts had nothing to do with who was on stage.
It was getting to experience it with my best friend, Taylor Endly. 🥹💙
Taylor and I started at Chase on the same day, and she’s become so much more than a coworker. She’s one of my closest friends—someone I get to navigate this crazy career alongside, celebrate the wins with, vent to when we need it 😂, and genuinely do life with.
Of all the opportunities Chase has given me, bringing Taylor into my life is easily one of my favorites.
And because the day wasn’t already cool enough, somehow the two of us ended up featured on our JPMorganChase homepage with one of my favorite photos of us from the Town Hall. 😂💙
Definitely one for the career memory book. ✨
