I love to garden! It is my happy place when I want to be alone and unload the stresses of my life. These beautiful flowers (Hibiscus) were started from seed. I love to put a little seed into a pot of dirt and watch the beauty emerge! This is EXACTLY what God has done in my life and can do in YOUR life.

When you think back over your life are you doing the things you dreamed of doing? Are you happy with the things you have accomplished in your lifetime?
As a little girl I was always such a dreamer, I wanted to meet people, talk to people, write a book, write poetry, become a teacher, travel the world.

Then life happened, abuse happened, everyone told me to be quiet, stop dreaming, come back to reality. As time went on I did just that. Fear had become my new life partner.

Then my Journey to Thriving began and little by little I learned to dream again. At the age of 42 my life began again.
I had a poem published!
I faced my first fear of public speaking and took a college speech class.
I faced my fear of water and learned to scuba dive.
I faced my fear and began my own business at the age of 50
I faced my fear of traveling alone and did a trip from California, to South Carolina, to North Carolina, to New York, to Indiana and then back home again. It was such an amazing and memorable trip!

In October of 2024 my life story was published.
In June of 2026 I started THRIVING Digital Magazine

It's not over! I am not done yet!

If you are new to my page I would like to introduce myself. I am a small business owner for 13 1/2 years. Michelle Dean Insurance & Financial Solutions offering life insurance, long term care planning and retirement planning primarily for women (and a few good men). I am also the Founder of a non-profit called WHOW (Women Helping Other Women) and an Author & Speaker. Yes! I wear many hats! I have overcome much abuse in my lifetime and learned to find my voice, face my fears and thrive. My passion is bringing women together so we can educate, inspire and support one another.

As a new Author & Speaker my goal is to inspire you to take action to change your life. In my experience no one came to save me... I had to learn to save myself.

Whatever you want in life, whatever you dream of, whatever goals you set for yourself IS POSSIBLE! No matter what your past was like, what abuse you may have survived, you CAN learn to THRIVE!!
