Today I recorded my very first podcast 🎙️ with Caleb Richardson, who is doing such important work through Helperly to support aging adults and their families.
The conversation became deeply real, very quickly. We talked about that moment when adult children feel “it’s time to step in” and the quiet fear of doing it wrong… of pushing too much… or waiting too long.
We talked about how worry shows up long before a crisis, and how the simple act of getting organized can bring peace back into the home — letting parents be parents again, and kids be kids again.
What I kept feeling is that caregiving is not just logistics. It is dignity. It is love expressed through calm, steady protection.
And in many ways, we are all learning this together. We are the first generation navigating aging and caregiving in a world that looks very different than the one our parents prepared us for.
I’m grateful to Caleb for the encouragement and for opening the door for this conversation. His heart for families is a big part of why I stepped into the microphone today.
I have a feeling this is just the beginning of sharing more of this journey — because families shouldn’t have to wait for a crisis to get help.
This is exactly why GracePoint exists… so families don’t have to carry this alone.
