Ready for a "What were they thinking" Wednesday🧐? Here goes...
Recently a homeowner called and asked about getting a quote on a new dock. He said he was having trouble with the current "professional" he had hired. You know what, forget the story, just take a look at these photos of the "quality" work that was done.
Marine construction requires the proper equipment and materials. Rotten pilings and zip ties don't happen to make the list. Do your homework before hiring a local "professional". Are they a state licensed contractor? Do they carry proper maritime insurance? Do they have any references? Its more important than you may think!

What a difference between the two!
This homeowner realized it was time to contact a professional licensed and insured company to give their bulkhead a much needed refresh. The tie-backs had failed and the whalers had certainly seen better days. We came in and replaced all but the existing vinyl sheets, straightened the wall, and capped it.
