🚧 DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO 🚧

I borrowed $500 against one of my assets to fund my first deposit into my M1 Roth IRA.
(Another one—because I neglected the one I already have with Webull 🙄. I plan on transferring Webull ➡️ M1.)

I’ll also be paying the loan back this upcoming Friday.

It feels good to use my assets to fund something important to me without selling anything.
(Money glitch—because I don’t have to pay taxes.) I know I sound like a broken record saying this 🤷🏾‍♂️.

(Google: Buy, Borrow, Die strategy.)

“The borrower is servant to the lender.” — Proverbs 22:7
That’s why leverage is a tool, not a lifestyle.

I refuse to work at 60. I rebuke that.
I’m protecting my future self from inflation, from working myself to death, and I’m intentionally working toward a comfortable life.

“The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance.” — Proverbs 21:5

Buy assets, not liabilities.
Buy things that appreciate and compound on top of themselves.

“A wise man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” — Proverbs 13:22

I’ll show anyone who’s paying attention that it doesn’t take much—just the payment of consistency—to save yourself from your future self.

The “Stay Down Method”

• Track your spending
• Cut lifestyle inflation, pay down debt, and save.
• Tell your money what to do.
• Be intentional. No unnecessary spending or accepting “lifestyle creep.”

“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost?” — Luke 14:28

• Everyone should have 3–6 months of living expenses saved in a High-Yield Savings Account
• Use savings challenges and/or sinking funds to help.
• Budget. (There is power in this—but only if you’re intentional.)

“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.” — Proverbs 22:3

After at least 3 months of savings, start investing while continuing toward your 6-month goal.

After 6 months saved, increase the amount you invest—and again, avoid lifestyle creep.

“Whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.” — Proverbs 13:11

Celebrate small wins
• Your first investment
• Your first dividend payment
• $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 invested

“Do not despise these small beginnings.” — Zechariah 4:10

Be intentional—always.
Put God ahead of your finances and sow the seed.

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your increase.” — Proverbs 3:9

(Note: I am not a financial advisor, and this is not financial advice. It is a strong recommendation.)

How I move:
1️⃣ Build

This is creation.
• Build skills
• Build systems
• Build income streams
• Build discipline

👉 Nothing else matters if nothing is built.

2️⃣ Maintain

This is protection.
• Maintain habits
• Maintain systems
• Maintain consistency

👉 Most people fail here. They build once and neglect forever.

3️⃣ Keep

This is retention.
• Keep profits
• Keep knowledge
• Keep momentum

👉 If you can’t keep it, you never really had it.

4️⃣ Stretch

This is optimization.
• Stretch resources
• Stretch time
• Stretch money
• Stretch capacity

👉 Same inputs. Better outputs.

5️⃣ Deploy

This is action.
• Deploy capital
• Deploy skills
• Deploy leverage

👉 Stored power does nothing until deployed.

6️⃣ Multiply

This is growth.
• Money makes money
• Systems scale
• Knowledge compounds

👉 This is where compounding lives.

7️⃣ Store

This is preservation.
• Store reserves
• Store wisdom
• Store excess for future cycles

👉 Storage gives you stability, options, and patience.

10 Biblical Money Secrets That Break Debt & Build Your Future

1. Wisdom Comes Before Wealth

Wisdom is the currency that buys everything else.

Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Money does not respond to begging.
Money responds to wisdom.

Money flows toward wisdom and runs from foolishness. If God gave you more money without first giving you wisdom, the money would not bless you—it would expose you.

Action step:
Stop praying, “God, give me more money.”
Start praying, “God, give me wisdom to steward what I already have.”

Read one chapter of Proverbs every day. Let wisdom rebuild your financial foundation.

2. Your Mind Is Either a Prison or a Palace

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Financial transformation begins in the mind.
Debt is not just a money issue—it is a mindset issue.

Until your thinking changes, your finances will not.

There are two dominant mindsets:

Poverty Mindset (a prison)
• There is never enough
• I cannot afford that
• Money does not grow on trees
• Rich people are greedy
• I will always struggle

This mindset traps millions of people for life.

Abundance Mindset (a palace)
• God owns everything
• I am a steward, not a victim
• There is always more than enough
• I serve a God of multiplication

Philippians 4:19
But my god shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jé-sus.

Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto the fathers, as it is this day.

God does not give wealth randomly.
He gives power to get wealth—to those who think like stewards.

3. Chaos Repels Blessings, Order Attracts Them

Proverbs 27:23
Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

In biblical times, flocks were wealth.
Today your flocks are your bank accounts, bills, investments, subscriptions, and credit score.

Principle: God does not bless what you do not manage.
He does not pour resources into leaky buckets.

Most people have no idea where their money goes. Financial chaos steals from them every day without their awareness.

When order is established, three things happen immediately:
1. You see the truth
2. You regain control
3. You position yourself for blessing

Proverbs 3:9–10
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

You cannot fill a barn that has holes in it.
Fix the holes first.

4. Every Dollar Is a Soldier and You Are the General

Proverbs 21:20
There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.

Wise people do not react to money—they command it.

Every dollar must be assigned a mission.
Unassigned money disappears.

The framework: The 10–10–80 rule
• 10% giving
• 10% saving and investing
• 80% living expenses

This rule works not because you have extra money, but because it forces discipline, focus, and intentional living.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

When you give first, you activate heaven.
When you save second, you eliminate waste.
When you live on the remainder, you gain control.

5. Automation Builds What Motivation Cannot

Proverbs 13:11
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

Notice the phrase little by little. This is about consistency, not luck.

Daniel 6:10
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house… and he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed… as he did aforetime.

Daniel’s strength was not emotion—it was routine.

Automate your faithfulness:
• Automatic giving
• Automatic savings
• Automatic investing

Remove emotion from the equation. Systems outlast willpower.

6. Obedience Unlocks What Logic Cannot

Proverbs 3:5–6
Trust thy LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path.

Sometimes obedience makes no financial sense.
But obedience opens doors logic never will.

Genesis 12:1
Now the LORD said unto Abraham, Get thee out of thy country… unto a land that I will shew thee.

No map. No guarantee. Just obedience.

God does not reward negotiation—He rewards obedience.

7. Generosity Activates Heaven’s Economy

2 Corinthians 9:6
He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountiful.

Generosity is not loss—it is planting.

Malachi 3:10
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now herewith…

Giving does not decrease your resources.
It activates heaven’s resources.

8. Your Network Determines Your Net Worth

Proverbs 13:20
He that wallet with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Who you walk with determines where you end up.

Proverbs 27:17
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Choose sharpening relationships.

9. Repentance Is Financial Redirection

Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Repentance means changing direction—not slowing down.

Cut the cards. Cancel the subscriptions. End the habits.
Freedom requires separation.

10. Wealth Without Purpose Is Poverty With a Better View

Mark 8:36
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Money is a tool, not a trophy.

1 Timothy 6:17–18
Charge them that are rich in this world… that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Your wealth has an assignment.
Your breakthrough has a purpose.

Final Question

Which principle challenged you the most?

Wisdom?
Order?
Giving?
Obedience?

Because when money aligns with Scripture, debt breaks, discipline forms, and purpose awakens.

So for 2026, I set goals for myself and the growth of my dividend portfolio positions. Since I have now met my $AMC position goal(1,000 shares), it's time to grow some other positions that do a lot of lifting in my Divvy portfolio.

Heres my thought process…

$HESM

“HESM is like owning the toll roads of the oil and gas industry.
They don’t care how high gas prices go or how low they fall — they get paid every time energy moves through their pipes.
And they pay you real cash every quarter for owning it.”
- HESM does NOT drill for oil.

They:
• Move oil and gas
• Store it
• Process it
• Charge fees for doing so

“HESM is a boring, cash-paying energy toll road that sends you checks while other people argue about oil prices.”

$TXRH

“Texas Roadhouse is a popular casual steakhouse with strong repeat customers and a proven model that makes money even in slow economies.”

- “If people still want good food and good times, TXRH will keep earning profits.”

$TSLA

“Tesla isn’t just a car company — it’s a technology and energy company that makes high-margin products people want and keeps expanding into new money streams.”

- “If you think cars will keep getting smarter and cleaner, Tesla sits at the center of that shift.”

$SOFI

“SoFi is like a digital financial services hub — banking, lending, investing — all in one app. This generation's bank!”

- “It’s like your bank, lender, and investment app all rolled into one — designed for how people really manage money today.”

$SCHD

“SCHD is a basket of reliable, dividend-paying U.S. companies. It’s like owning the steady part of the market in one simple ticket.”

- “It’s a set-and-forget way to get paid by strong U.S. businesses over the long haul.”

$OPEN

“Opendoor modernizes home buying and selling — they make a traditionally slow, stressful process fast and simple. The future of home buying… IMO!”

- “It’s like the Airbnb/Uber of home sales — tech-driven real estate that cuts out friction and saves time.”

This year my goals for these tickers are:
• $HESM
- current position: 21.1221 shares
2026 goal:
1st 50 shares
2nd 100 shares

• $TXRH
- current position: 1.49975 shares
2026 goal:
1st 25 shares
2nd 75 shares

• $TSLA
- current position: 2.24029 shares
2026 goal:
1st 10 shares
2nd 25 shares

• $SOFI
- current position: 16.16382 shares
2026 goal:
1st 25 shares
2nd 50 shares

• $SCHD
- current position: 104.80166 shares
2026 goal:
1st 150 shares
2nd 175 shares

• $OPEN
- current position: 50.00296 shares
2026 goal:
1st 50 shares
2nd 125 shares
