In Loving and Prayerful Memory of Mr. Bublu Augustine D’Costa
With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we share the news of the passing of Mr. Bublu Augustine D’Costa, beloved husband of Dolores D’Costa, who went to his eternal rest on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10:45 AM, at Holy Family Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Mr. D’Costa was a devoted and loving father to three wonderful children—two daughters, one son, and a cherished son-in-law. Since making Silver Spring his home in 1995, he lived a life rooted in faith, humility, and service. He fought a brave and faithful battle with lung cancer for many months, facing every moment with courage and trust in God.
Originally from Chota Shatanipara, Rangamatia Catholic Mission, Kaliganj, Gazipur, Bangladesh, Mr. D’Costa was the eldest son of the late Tarcisius D’Costa and Maloti D’Costa, and the guiding light among four brothers and three sisters. His leadership within the family extended to the community, where he inspired many with his dedication and generosity.
A man of deep Catholic faith and strong moral values, Mr. D’Costa served as a two-time elected President of the Bangladesh Christian Cooperative Society (BCCS) LLC, and as Secretary of the Bangoli American Christian Association (BACA). His tireless efforts to serve others, strengthen community ties, and foster spiritual and social growth have left a legacy that will be remembered with great respect and love.
His passing is not only a heartbreaking loss to his family but also to the wider Bangladeshi Christian immigrant community, and to all who were blessed to know him. His warmth, wisdom, and presence will be dearly missed.
As we grieve together, let us lift him up in our prayers and surround his family with love and support. May our Lord Jesus Christ receive him into eternal glory and grant comfort and peace to his family in this time of sorrow.
Funeral arrangements will be announced soon. We invite all relatives, friends, and community members to join us in honoring and celebrating his life, faith, and legacy.
"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen."
With deepest sympathy and united prayers,
Pintu Palma
President, on behalf of the Board and Members of BCCS LLC
