Another amazingly eye opening Saturday in Shelby County.

Today I volunteered at Shelby Touched Twice. My area I volunteered in was registration. The way this community shows up each and everything for others has me in Aww.

I don’t know final numbers but I know that over 500 people showed up to volunteer and over 600 people visited.

All services were at no cost to the people who showed up. They had an opportunity to get a medical check up, have their vision checked, see a dentist, get a hair cut, and see a chiropractor. They had the opportunity to shop for clothing, get some food items, and a warm meal. Prayer request and time with ministers. Just to mention a few things, I’m sure I’m forgetting something.

The amounts of donations, and just genuine care showed for not only our communities but surrounding counties is mind blowing. I am so thankful to be afforded the chance to even play a small role in this… Also 7 members of the Leadership Shelby KY class participated today! ❤️❤️
