Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and there is never an excuse for abuse.

“Elder abuse can by physical, emotional, and financial exploitation. Abuse can also be in the form of isolation or neglect. It is estimated that 1 in 10 seniors are victims of some sort of abuse,” said Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward.

If you suspect elder abuse, report it anonymously to the Tulare County Adult Protective Services hotline at (877) 657-3092.
