Cara and I and the rest of the team here are excited to make a huge announcement to kick off the New Year! 📢📢
We have all been blessed with amazing and supportive clients, customers, friends, and other supporters—it has been a truly remarkable first year at the “helm.” With all of that success and good fortune, Cara and I have decided it’s time to put our own mark on this wonderful business we’ve had the privilege to call our own over the last year.
So without further ado…
We are proud and ecstatic to announce the soft roll out of our rebrand into Waypoint Property Group! This decision has not come lightly and Cara and I have spent many, many hours stressing over the proper and respectful way to bring about this change, as we have an immense amount of respect and admiration for Doug. Sw***er, REALTORS® is not going away right away, though! All of the agents you know, love, and trust are sticking around—you’ll still get Doug, Nancy, Jacob and Jeremy. You’ll still see some Sw***er, REALTORS® activity, but the bulk of our new business will take off with our new name, Waypoint Property Group, and Jacob will continue to broker both.

In navigation--be it by land, air, or sea--a Waypoint is usually a part of a collection that gets a pilot or captain to his or her final destination. Sometimes, the Waypoint is the final destination. Sometimes it’s a brief stop, sometimes it is a longer stop. Sometimes a Waypoint is the final destination until it’s not.
In any event, a Waypoint is a very important tool to help us along our various journeys. Sometimes, we get lost, and without our Waypoints, it can be difficult to get back on track.
Homeownership and real estate-investing is a journey. Sometimes you strike gold at the first place you look at, sometimes it takes several showings. Sometimes you have a smooth and painless experience, sometimes there’s turbulence or high swells. Sometimes things don’t go as planned and you must pivot and re-route. We’re very excited for the future, however, we’ll never, ever forget the legacy that got us here and who made all of this possible almost 60 years ago and we will forever remain grateful for Doug and the opportunity he provided us and the example he has set for us in business and professionalism.
You will begin to see these changes being made across our social media platforms and website, yard signs, and in public syndication sites like Zillow and Realtor dot com in the coming days. Outside of a potential for our website to be down for short periods of time, there will be no interruption in our service to you—we are good and legal to continue working and are looking forward to doing so!
