Tara Clark Photography

Tara Clark Photography I am a Seattle photographer who wanted a lawn sign & thought others might too! Join me to spread love. Thank you. Together we can!!

I took a leap of faith on 1/6 and ordered 200 signs hoping I could find homes for them all and raise money for KUOW. The first signs went out on 1/11 and by I have already sold 200...now have 400 on order...dreaming of a quilt being built by all the neighborhoods of Seattle reaching to other states creating the biggest blanket of LOVE. But please give me grace if you have difficulty ordering I am trying to figure this out asap.

Over the past 5 years, (with The World In My Backyard and Believe Love Unite being the focus of what I shared online) I have been asked the same question many times, "Do you still do portrait work? Can you photograph my family?" My answer is always, "Yes, although I do not promote my work, I am still available for sittings when asked." My passion for spreading the BLU message and raising $$ this past year and a half unexpectedly became my full time unpaid job and I have realized the way I move through life and my business can cause confusion for many.

Today, after finishing post-production of images from a family sitting, I realized how much I do love providing lasting imagery that capture fleeting moments in time. I love reflecting the beauty, uniqueness and bonds that unfold with every individual that steps into my lens view.

After a year and a half of neglecting sharing images of my portrait work on this page, it is time to share a few of my favorites from the past year and share that I have availability for sittings through the end of October.

I will start by sharing images from a family sitting that fortuitously took place just a week or two after they had moved to their new home. I loved being able to capture their young girls in spaces that they will grow up in. They will never be so small again, but they will have the images to remind them of the new chapter they opened in their family's life and the love

“But what about today and tomorrow… next month and in August?? The inspirations fade to the background and are replace with prejudice, presumption, fear, unrest, demonstrations, anger, resentment, questioning…We are approaching the 50 year anniversary of one of this country’s greatest peacemaker and I am saddened that, although progress has happened, prejudice continues to be pervasive in our society. How can this move from conversations & inspirations to new & different actions to create change?”

This popped into my “on this day” feed. I wrote it 2 yrs ago. We have lots of work to do and I believe the fastest way to conquer the hate and fear permeating today is through connection.
I am guessing approx 10 people may have read this when I posted it. I hope it will reach and resonate with more today.

This week, our country celebrated Martin Luther King Day. In Seattle there was a march, online there were countless images and powerfu...
