Krentz String Works Innovative products for String instruments by Kevin Krentz. Seattle Cellist and Innovator Kevin Krentz partners with Robert Brewer Young, Luthier, of France.

Krentz has multiple inventions and innovations to his credit including carbon fiber bass bar inserts in K. Michael Krentz cellos, the Krentz Wolf Eliminator, and the Krentz Play-In Service technology. In 2008, as an award-winning cellist and specialist in the finest modern makers instruments, Krentz met his first Robert Brewer Young instrument with which he felt he finally had found a truly great

modern cello. Krentz and Young met to discuss the immediate start of a new Strad model cello with input from Krentz. That important dialogue continues to this day and has branched into many new innovations that are now and will be presented by Krentz String Works in the future.

One of my teachers, the great Gary Hardie, who I credit with inspiring me to play the cello and for making it possible for me to do so retired this year from Baylor University.
As a tribute, I made this with all these former students of his. It's an arrangement he wrote of a very exciting piece by Manuel De Falla. I had to learn all 10 parts and record them and then add all the other cellists. It was tons of fun and I'm learning more and more about this process. Stay tuned for more videos! Enjoy!
