Real Family Solutions

Real Family Solutions Postpartum Doula in Seattle and Bellevue Area As a postpartum doula, I can assist in baby care, breastfeeding support, and household management.

I have over twenty years of family support experience, first as a nanny and followed by ten years of work as a postpartum doula. As a NAPS certified doula (www.napsdoulas.com), I maintain my liability insurance, clean background check, CPR certification, and continuing education. After your child is born, I will come to your home to answer your questions, help you clean and organize the areas you

use most, offer you local referrals and product recommendations, and make sure you have a chance to rest and care for yourself. I prefer to meet families prenatally to ensure the best start as a new family but I am happy to meet or start work if you are already at home with your infant and realize you need extra help. I offer a free consultation and interview meeting for anyone interested in my postpartum doula services so don't hesitate to contact me!

March has been a whirlwind month for me and my business. As many of you know, for the past five years, I have built this postpartum doula business in Seattle.
I support families at home after birth, holding their hand through tearfilled moments and rejoicing their best moments. I help families feed their babies, from breastfeeding support to nourishing the mom so she can focus on feeding the baby to sanitizing pump parts and SNS systems to demonstrating healthy paced feeding with bottles. I hold their bundled littles at 3am while they get the first restful sleep they have had in weeks and answering the countless questions that come in those first days home.
And I LOVE my job.
But I have felt an ache to also help birthing women, and this month, all the pieces started falling into place. I spent a week at an intensive birth doula training retreat, and have spent the days since absorbing everything the Seattle birth community has to offer, reworking my business plan, and starting to redesign my website.
So, with World Doula Week, I am happy to announce that I am now accepting birth doula clients in the Seattle area! Please let me know if you are looking for someone to support you during your pregnancy and birth!
