If you didn’t know, Frankie is my 15 month old mini goldendoodle puppy, who yes, my spouse and I brought home right before I quit my job ….
Here’s how these numbers break down in total:
* Initial costs: $3,300 breeder + ~$200/month on training + $1,500 on shopping in the first 2 months between gates, exercise pen, many toys, two crates, blankets, beds, a car seat, multiple sizes of harnesses and rain jackets, water bottles, a leash, cute sweaters, hair brush, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. Frankie might be a little spoiled…
* Monthly costs: $125 food and treats + $75 on shopping now
* Emergency fund/Insurance: $300/month set aside for medical costs
