Today, our words feel so small. As we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11th, we honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, the courage of countless people, and the first responders whose heroism continues to inspire our country. In the midst of this national moment of reflection, our hearts are also heavy regarding the seemingly constant horrific news stories as of late. During times like these, we’re reminded of a sentiment shared widely: “The best way to honor those lost on 9/11 is to be the people we were on 9/12.” In the face of horrific darkness, we came together with unity, compassion, and a shared humanity. Despite the heaviness we feel today... our hope and prayer for our nation is that we strive to carry that 9/12 spirit forward—choosing empathy over division, kindness over apathy, and strength rooted in the belief that a little respect goes a long way and that disagreement can occur without hatred and violence. Let us choose to overcome evil with good... standing in solidarity as lights in a world that often feels so incredibly dark.

➡️ $4.8 Billion Lost: The Growing Cost of Scams Targeting Seniors

Investment fraud, phishing emails, and tech support scams aren't just digital annoyances; they drain billions from older Americans each year. According to a recent FBI report, seniors were hit hardest, with losses totaling $4.8 billion. And that may be just the tip of the iceberg, as many cases go unreported due to shame or fear.

The takeaway? Staying informed about evolving scam tactics is more than helpful—it’s necessary. Financial awareness is one of the best tools we have, especially for those supporting aging loved ones.
