Mortgage Tip of the Day:
Why is the APR higher than the interest rate?
🔑 APR attempts to factor in upfront costs to deliver a true “cost of financing” which is typically higher than the interest rate on your mortgage
🔑 APR includes things like processing fees, credit report fees, appraisal fees and other necessary components of the mortgage process
🔑 APR relies on human input and variables that can be manipulated to a certain extent. Thus, it’s an imperfect measurement.
🔑 A slightly lower APR from one lender may not necessarily be a better deal

What a great way to start the week by closing on a better than new construction home for my military buyer relocating back to the Savannah area after a few years away.
