When you’re caring for your parents, knowing what to prioritize shouldn’t feel like guesswork.
If you are currently balancing a busy career, a household, and the shifting health needs of your aging parents, I want you to take a deep, slow breath. You are doing incredibly important work, but I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be.
My name is Jana, and I am an independent insurance agent licensed in Georgia and South Carolina. But more than that, I am a caregiver just like you.
When my mother’s health and insurance needs began to shift, I experienced the exact same confusion, carrier changes, and paperwork headaches that many families face today. I watched her struggle to navigate changing rules and save her fixed income.
That personal journey made me take a hard look at my own life, and it changed the way I look at insurance forever. I decided to use my 20+ years of experience in relationship building to become the patient, knowledgeable advocate that caregivers desperately need.
Too often, the insurance industry relies on high-pressure sales pitches, complicated jargon, and confusing debates about "whole life vs. term" or Medicare Advantage versus Supplements. It makes busy caregivers feel like they are already too late, have too little budget, or have to solve every single financial puzzle overnight. I don't believe in those pressure tactics. I believe you and your family deserve transparency, clear communication, and two-way trust.
My approach is simple: We focus on what can wait and what must happen right now within your means. You do not have to stretch your monthly budget to its breaking point to establish reliable, structured protections for your parents.
Whether you are trying to understand your parent's Medicare options, looking to secure a reliable life insurance policy, or simply trying to get a handle on what protections are actually essential at this stage of their lives, I am here to help you find the answers patiently and persistently.
How to take the first step today:
You don’t have to figure this out alone. I have put together a free resource specifically for busy families called The Caregiver's "What Now" Checklist. It is designed to help you quickly separate immediate protection needs from decisions that can safely wait.
