President: Shawn
Shawn joined IVTP her first-year and is graduating with a B.A in Communication, and received the Dean’s Honor Award for Best Sustainably Dressed among graduating seniors.
“I joined IVTP my freshman year because, while I had already found some great friends, I was looking for a community of people who shared my passion for sustainability and secondhand fashion. IVTP quickly became my favorite escape from the dorms, and from my very first meetings, the older members made me feel so welcomed and supported. As I became more involved, I wanted to create that same feeling for new members and help grow the organization into something even bigger. IVTP is such a special group of people from all different majors and backgrounds who come together to make a real impact, and there truly is nothing else like it at UCSB.
As I graduate, I’m incredibly grateful for everything IVTP has given me… the friendships, memories, opportunities, and sense of community that shaped my college experience. Serving as president has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done, and I’m so proud of how much this organization has grown. While it’s hard to say goodbye, I’m excited to pass IVTP on to this amazing group of people, who I know will continue to do so much good for our community and take the organization to places we never imagined”🥹💕
