Strong communities help make access to life-saving cancer care possible. CenCal Health was honored to sponsor the Annual Day of Hope hosted by Marian Regional Medical Center Foundation. Last weekend in Santa Maria, community members, volunteers, healthcare providers, and local organizations came together for a car show to support individuals and families navigating a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The momentum continued today as hundreds of volunteers gathered throughout the Central Coast to sell newspapers, helping raise critical funds for Mission Hope Cancer Center and the patients who rely on its life-saving care and support services.

We're grateful to be part of a community united by compassion, connection, and a shared commitment to making a difference. πŸ’™πŸš—. πŸ’™πŸš—

Safe housing is one of the most important factors influencing health. By providing families with stability, security, and support, organizations like ECHO Homeless Shelter help create the foundation for healthier lives and stronger communities.

We were honored to celebrate ECHO's 25th Anniversary and the opening of the Balay Ko Family Resource Center. The new family shelter wing will add 30 beds for families with children, expanding access to safe housing and support.

We are grateful for the decades of dedication to our neighbors in need. Together, we're improving our communities' health and building a stronger Central Coast.

✨ Congratulations, ECHO, on 25 years of changing lives!

Optimal health flourishes when access and community support work together. Partners like Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) help build the connections necessary to strengthen the local safety net across the Central Coast.

Through advocacy, wellness initiatives, and culturally rooted support services, MICOP serves more than 45,000 Indigenous community members in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, fostering opportunity and well-being.

We were honored to join MICOP at their Noche de Pueblos Originarios, recognizing the importance of uplifting Indigenous communities, preserving cultural heritage, and expanding opportunities for future generations.

✨ Together, we are building healthier, stronger, and more inclusive communities.

Protecting children today strengthens our community for generations to come, and staying on schedule with vaccines is one of the most effective ways to protect kids, families, and neighbors alike.

A special thank you to the County of Santa Barbara Health Department for leading the Ask Your Local Pediatrician campaign during National Immunization Awareness Month, and to our own Pediatric Medical Director, Dr. Dianna Myers, for advancing trusted vaccine education and empowering families with reliable, evidence-based information. πŸ©ΊπŸ’™

πŸ’™ As part of National Health Center Week, CenCal Health was proud to present County of Santa Barbara Health Department with an appreciation award recognizing its longstanding commitment to building a healthier, stronger community through access to care, prevention, wellness, and essential support services.

A trusted partner for more than four decades, the department helped establish CenCal Health in 1983 and continues to serve local residents through a wide range of programs and services.

This week, CenCal Health also participated in Santa Barbara County Health's annual Back-to-School Resource Fairs in Santa Maria, Lompoc, and Santa Barbara, helping families prepare for a successful school year.

Together, these events connected families with:

βœ”οΈ School supplies and backpacks
βœ”οΈ Health and wellness resources
