This happened overnight for one of the houses in my neighborhood and it’s def the insurance agent in me talking but holy moly, I hope they have enough coverage and are with a good insurance carrier! 😧

SO NOW WHAT?
What are you suppose to do, where are you going to live, who is going to pay for all this, and lastly how long will this take?

Here’s my answer:
🏡 Call the claims center and put in a FIRE CLAIM
🏡 Check for LOSS OF USE coverage on your insurance policy. If you have enough, your living expenses will be covered and paid for by your policy while your home is uninhabitable.
🏡 Know that total reconstruction of a home can take up to 18-24 MONTHS
🏡 Be prepared to provide evidence for your personal properties that you’d like to be reimbursed for. Check with your agent to make sure you have appropriate PERSONAL PROPERTY COVERAGE amt or you most likely won’t be fully reimbursed for your belongings

Term plans are great when you have a larger expense to cover for a certain period, such as buying a home, paying off a mortgage and/or college loans. And after, you also have the option to covert it to a permanent life policy with the health rating you were approved for when you first applied 🤓🗒

So how does this work??
🐣You'll be sharing some personal information with your agent (hopefully me!) and go through an application process, which takes about 30 mins.
🐣After, applications are submitted to the underwriters for review.
🐣Some receive an underwriting decision by the next business day or on average it can take up to 2-8 weeks.

The truth is people fail to realize that without sufficient amount of coverage, you can be in serious debt for a very long time if you have a car accident. 🚗 So you WANT enough coverage to protect your life from financial ruin 💸   
  
Sometimes it can be as cheap and easy as just buying the mininum coverage or sometimes it can be much more complicated.
