This is why I frequently check with clients how they are sleeping and whether it is something they would like to improve. It directly impacts your performance, wirh sleep deprivation lower EQ, IQ and mood:
“The average American sleeps 6.2 hours.
As you know, the ideal target for sleep is just over 8 hours.
But 6.2 doesn’t sound too far off, right?
Well, if you're sleeping like the average American, here’s a fun analogy:
Studies show that the 1.3 hours you’re missing each night is causing you to perform as if you had a blood alcohol level of 0.05.
And the longer you stay up, the worse it gets. If you’re hustling and pushing yourself, and find yourself awake, at a certain point – usually around 17-18 consecutive hours of being awake – you'd actually be performing as though you're drunk.
At least you’d have an excuse for sending those silly or inappropriate texts and emails 🙃”
