We’re hiring a Chief Technology Officer at CIRE Equity!
In an Executive Leadership Team role reporting to our Co-Founder and Principal, you'd own the technology and data direction of the firm: stress-testing the AI roadmap, making build-versus-buy calls, and setting data architecture standards across MRI, Argus, and Microsoft, including the warehouse build that serves reporting across the organization.
A real part of the job is deciding what gets built and what gets bought. You'd lead product evaluations, oversee the build of custom line-of-business applications, own the technology budget and vendor negotiations, and carry the authority to reverse or redirect prior technology decisions where the roadmap requires it. You'd also own the firm's cybersecurity posture, including SOC 2 readiness.
You'd work across every function and mentor our internal technology team. We're a vertically integrated owner-operator, so the same team that underwrites an asset also operates it, and the systems have to hold up the whole way through.
The right person is a builder from a product company rather than an advisor: 10+ years of technology leadership, software actually shipped as a CTO or VP of Engineering, and hands-on practice with current AI/ML tooling rather than strategic familiarity. Commercial real estate, proptech, financial services, or another complex-data environment is strongly preferred. West Coast preferred but not required, with quarterly travel to Southern California.
