Californiaā€™s ā€œdaylightingā€ law was signed off on in 2023 and citations were authorized bringing in 2025 - so not exactly new BUT itā€™s certainly the first I had heard of it. The issue I have is that there doesnā€™t need to a red curb or signage to notify you and the crosswalk doesnā€™t even need to be marked. So Iā€™m throwing up this reel in hopes that if I can save one person $115, it will have been worth it.

Donā€™t you love misleading headlines? Oh and the doom and gloom ones are the best!

Itā€™s interesting how ai and news at our fingertips are both helping people but also paralyzing people.

At the end of the day, you have to do what is right for YOU. And that could mean waiting! But you need the numbers, the data to truly make a decision. YOUR numbers.

And lastly, make sure you connect with a a mortgage advisor - not just a call center LO who takes an application and spits out numbers. Iā€™d love to be that advisor for you.

Most buyers are surprised by the amount of closing costs they see on a loan estimate. But itā€™s important to distinguish between what are fees for buying the home and using home financing versus what are things they would have to pay for anyways, but are paying in advance. Not all closing costs are fees.
