Three years ago today, the Camp Fire devastated our community and became the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California's history. On that same day, several other wildfires roared through tinder-dry sections of the state, including the Woolsey Fire, near Malibu. 2020 was the worst fire year on record and this year almost 2.5 million acres have burned in California. These extreme wildfire events present new challenges and opportunities for organizations, agencies, and other groups working to prepare our communities for wildfire.

We invite you to join us live on Thursday, November 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to hear from Climate Scientist, Daniel Swain and our panel of pioneering water leaders as they share innovative methods and mindsets for lessening the impacts of wildfire in our communities and our watersheds. Register now for our second California Streamin' webinar titled "California Water in an Era of Increasing Climate Complexity" and learn how the utilization of forest management practices, land-use planning, and sound science is being used to address current threats to our water resources. www.cawaterpolicy.org
