Getting noticed as a small business doesn’t always mean spending more on ads. Sometimes, it means giving people more reasons to remember you, trust you, and talk about you 👀

A few places to start:
✨ Deliver the kind of customer service people actually tell others about
📸 Show the transformation, not just the finished product
💬 Share your customers’ wins
🌱 Get involved in the community you want supporting your business

Not all vendors are created equal... even when they offer the same service. 👀

As part of our B Corp certification process, we completed a vendor audit using a checklist to evaluate things like transparency, trustworthiness, values, community impact, and overall alignment with our business.

Because one company may be honest, caring, and dependable… while another might feel a little more mysterious. 🍎

Your business dollars are powerful. Choosing vendors that reflect your values helps you build a stronger, more intentional business from the inside out.

Petty Cash Pebble has developed a foolproof cybersecurity plan:

Never check your email.
Throw your phone into the ocean.
Pay every invoice immediately.
Trust anyone who says “kindly.”

For legal reasons (and several bookkeeping reasons) please do not follow Pebble’s advice. 🪨

Here are four things you should actually do when a message involves money, passwords, payroll, banking information, or payment changes:

✅ Slow down when the request feels urgent.
✅ Verify it using contact information you already trust.
✅ Avoid unexpected links, downloads, and QR codes.
✅ Never change payment information based on an email alone.

A legitimate vendor, client, or coworker will understand why you need to verify a sensitive request.

A scammer will usually keep applying pressure.

Send this to the person in your office who needs the reminder or who should never be left alone with the company card.
