There is still a great deal of uncertainty in Washington when it comes to healthcare. With all meetings happening behind closed doors we really don't know much about the plan, and can only get information on ideas being thrown around.

Here's what we do know:
- The uncertainty on whether subsidies will remain in place or not is causing insurance companies to raise premiums to prepare for a worst case scenario. (Some companies do have plans to adjust the rates if a decision is made by July)
- If the senate kept the AHCA bill that passed in the house the same without any changes we would still see rate increases for the next 2 years before we saw any decline in pricing.

What does that mean for you?
You could be over paying for insurance right now, and that price will only go up over the next 2 years! Now is the time to see if there is a better option for you and your family. Stop throwing away money paying for coverage you don't need, and call me today so we can find a plan that suits YOUR needs.

Right now the government is pushing off their decision on what to do about CSR subsidies which help insurers lower the cost of insurance premiums. This delay and uncertainty could lead to massive rate spikes in 2018 as insurers look to compensate for the lack of government funding. Still TBD on whether this administration is going to sit back and watch Obamacare explode or if they will find a way to make it work. Now more than ever it's important to stay informed with whats going on in the world of healthcare.

Over the weekend you might have heard about the Executive Order Trump signed on Friday concerning healthcare. Although the order won't have any immediate effects, it does open a few doors for change. Most of these changes deal with the penalties Americans face for not having insurance and their ability to apply for hardship exemptions. 2017 is pretty much set and nothing big can be changed without laws being passed; but we could start seeing the ripple effects of this order as soon as next year.

President Donald Trump's first executive order targets the sweeping "Obamacare" law by giving federal agencies broad leeway to chip away at the measure.

Don't fall for the scare tactics! I've been seeing more and more articles like this pop up and most all of them are one-sided propaganda pieces. There are plans for an ACA replacement bill, but of course things will sound dismal when you run a report on the idea that nothing will come in after Obamacare.

The number of people without insurance would grow to about 32 million within the first decade if Republicans follow a 2015 plan to repeal Obamacare without a replacement, the new report says.

For anyone wondering what's coming around the corner with the GOPs plan for replacing Obamacare here is a video describing some possibilities ideas. Nothing's set in stone but Trump is claiming that the plan is almost ready. Personally I think risk pools and limiting coverage would really drive down costs for most middle class families. Nothing's going to be perfect, but I think we can definitely expect some improvements.
