Three years ago, I tore my left rotator cuff.
I waited months before having surgery, hoping it would heal on its own
It didn't.
After surgery, the recovery was long and frustrating. My range of motion returned, but my strength didn't seem to. For nearly two years, I couldn't train my upper body the way I used to.
I was convinced I had lost most of what I'd spent years building.

About 24 months after surgery, my shoulder became pain-free. I started pushing myself again.
Could I bench press 300 pounds like before?
No.
But I could still move 250 pounds for multiple reps.
