Top 3 things the WFG community has taught me:

1. Lead with integrity.
Trust is built by how you show up.

2. Financial education creates impact.
Clarity can help families make more informed decisions.

3. Learn it, apply it, pass it forward.
Growth is not just for you. It should help somebody else too.

That is the kind of community I am grateful to be part of.

People growing.
People learning.
People serving.
People helping others understand what they were never taught.

Sometimes life makes the conversation real.

Jacqueline Carstensen’s story is a reminder that protection is not just about numbers on a page.

After a serious cancer diagnosis, she experienced personally why having the right conversations around life insurance and financial protection can matter.

Life insurance cannot remove a diagnosis.
It cannot erase fear.
It cannot replace the people you love.

Crazy how life works.

I first saw speak at the kickoff event (Unleash The Magic 2026🪄) in San Antonio back in January, and I remember thinking her talk was powerful.

Fast forward to this past Mother’s Day…and I officially met her at church while serving.

Here’s the wild part: we’ve apparently been going to the same church for the past few months, and I didn’t even realize it. I had seen her before plenty of times, but never made the connection.

She was incredibly kind, warm, and genuine.

Just a reminder that sometimes the people you admire from a distance end up being a lot closer than you think. And sometimes the best connections happen in service, in community, and in the places where real life is happening.

Did a live session this weekend for 12 teachers in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week.

Right before I got there, the projector stopped working.

So we improvised.
Printed the slides.
And did it anyway.

Because leadership is not about perfect conditions.
It is about showing up, adjusting, and still delivering.

And honestly, that fits the message.

A strong household foundation does not build itself. It takes wisdom, preparation, protection, and intentional choices long before pressure shows up.

That is why these conversations matter.

Small consistent actions may not look impressive at first, but over time they can create real momentum.

This week, do not despise the small steps.

Me and my son watching of preach from Acts 2:14–21.

Moments like this matter more than people realize.

Leadership is not just what your children hear you say. It is what they watch you prioritize.

If I want my son to grow into a man of wisdom, discipline, stewardship, conviction, and purpose, then he has to see that God is first in this house.

Not occasionally. Not when it is convenient. First.

Scripture is clear:

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness" - Matthew 6:33
“Impress them on your children” - Deuteronomy 6:6–7

Before a child ever understands provision, responsibility, legacy, or leadership, he needs to see what foundation his father stands on.

This is discipleship.
This is leadership at home.
This is legacy building in real time.

It’s Nurses Week, and looking back at these pictures hits different.

From nursing school in 2018…
to long shifts in scrubs…
to the burn center…
to the pressure, the growth, the responsibility, and the lessons that only nursing can teach you.

Nursing taught me how to stay calm in chaos.
How to carry people through painful moments.
How to pay attention to what others overlook.
How to advocate.
How to serve.
How to lead with both strength and compassion.

And the truth is, I still carry that with me now.

Because whether it was at the bedside or now in conversations around money, protection, retirement, and legacy…the mission has always been the same:

Help people.
Guide people.
Prepare people.
Serve people well.

Nursing was never just a job for me.
It was part of the story that built me.

Happy Nurses Week to every nurse carrying more than people realize. You are seen, and what you do matters.
