San Antonio … In need of rental assistance? Application goes live tomorrow (Dec 11) from 1-2.

The Rental Assistance Program will accept applications on the second Wednesday of each month beginning at 1 p.m. Once the maximum number of applications are received, the portal will close. Rental assistance is limited and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Main Street America and San Antonio’s Eco Dev partner for our inaugural Revitalize SA Corridor Leadership Program - a 9 month community based Economic development leadership program for people like ME to improve local commercial corridors. And WE need people like YOU to make positive changes. We kicked off our strategy meeting at the Parish, our team met with Ms Lori Houston and then lunch at the Golden Star Cafe. Enjoyed the new art installation too! I want to work with you…! District 5 project in the works.

The Neighborhood and Housing Services Department is continuing its Renter Information Sessions in collaboration with the Fair Housing Council of South Texas, to provide renters and rental housing providers an overview of fair housing resources, responsibilities, and existing protections.

ADU Permit-Ready Plan RFQ closes Friday, May 24th! The City’s goal is to provide resources to help residents construct ADUs. This increases affordable housing options and creates inclusive living spaces. Our ADU program aims to remove barriers in constructing and financing an ADU. The ADU Program will officially launch late August and program elements will include: ADU Permit-Ready Plans, Incentives, Education, Outreach, and the ADU Website.


Through this request, the City intends to select up to 15 ADU Permit-Ready Plan designs. Selected ADU Permit-Ready Plan designs will be featured in an online ADU Permit-Ready Library that will live on the City’s dedicated ADU website. These will be available for San Antonio residents to use.
