It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lynn Beckstead, a former President of SecurityNational Mortgage Company and a truly important part of our history.

Known as Employee 001, Lynn was there at the beginning, helping lay the foundation for the company and the people we are today. His leadership, dedication, and years of service left a lasting mark on SecurityNational Mortgage and on the many people who had the privilege of working alongside him.

While titles and milestones tell part of Lynn’s story, his greatest legacy can be found in the people he impacted and the company he helped build.

For those of you that knew Lynn know how much he loved dessert and how you were required to order one anytime he was at the table. He was always trying to sweeten our lives!

Our thoughts are with Lynn’s family, friends, and all those across the SecurityNational family who knew and loved him.

Thank you, Lynn! Your legacy will live on!

We're excited to announce Austin Ingersoll's promotion to Director of Builder Relations.

As SecurityNational Mortgage Company launches our new Builder Division, Austin will lead the initiative to strengthen builder partnerships and support continued growth across our organization.

With 13 years in the mortgage industry, including 9 years specializing in builder relationships, Austin brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to build successful partnerships. He also holds a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED), adding valuable expertise to this new leadership role.

From the Desk of the SVP⭐| Leadership in Action

Mid-year always gives me a chance to reflect—not just on goals achieved, but on the people behind them.

One of the greatest privileges I've had as a leader is watching our teams grow, challenge themselves, and reach goals they once thought were out of reach.

That's exactly why we began the Elite 25 in 2024.
It wasn't just about recognition; it was about creating an opportunity for people to push themselves and discover what's possible.

Along the way, I realized I had a goal of my own in 2026.

That goal was to visit with Elite 25 in their hometown, their office, their place where they give their all every day to make their teams better and ultimately help SNMC grow.

I didn't want to simply lead from a distance. I wanted to be in the field, alongside our teams, learning from them, celebrating with them, and understanding firsthand what makes SecurityNational Mortgage the company it is today.

Over the past six months, I've had the privilege of visiting branches across the country and personally presenting Elite 25 award coins to some truly deserving individuals.

Those conversations and connections have been the highlight of my year. And it’s not just about each person individually, but their team that surrounds each of them and supports them!
