Some give credit to author of The Richest Man In Babylon, George Clason, for the phrase Pay Yourself First. Written in 1926, generally, the idea was to invest 10 percent of one’s earning before anything else was done with the money. In more recent recent times, author Robert Kiyosaki of, Rich Dad, Poor Dad fame has been hammering this advice home.
Today, I discuss, the practical implementations of this strategy when utilizing the Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) that was developed by author R. Nelson Nash in his book, Becoming Your Own Banker, that was first written in 2000, though now in its 6th edition.
Practicing IBC, and its almost infinite nuances, is the definition and the epitome of “Pay Yourself First

The chairman of the federal reserve, Jerome Powell, seems to be comfortable with the idea that some banks will fail in the near term. He uses words like manageable. We have been working with them for a long time. We are in conversations with them. please let me remind you missed the chairman. You oversee all these banks and they should not have got into a position of failure unless of course you did this by design.

Taking a moment to think about what your employer is all about. What are they contributing to society. What are you contributing to society by working there. Is this what you want to do? Is this what you were really choosing to do with your time here?
The same goes for your investments. Do you really want to give money to these companies that are in your mutual fund or in your brokerage account or is it really just about growing phenomenal piles of cash or just looking for a particular rate of return?
I asked these questions, because we have choices, and many times we don’t put much thought into whether or not this is what we really want to contribute to. I am attempting to just give you some breathing room to think through what it is you really want.
