We were happy to be featured in an episode of Oregon Food Bound recently, a new series on the The CW, co-produced by the Oregon Farm Bureau!

This episode highlights some of Oregon's amazing beef producers, restaurateurs, large animal vets and our own Casey Miller, owner of The Meating Place, speaking about our full-service approach to selling meat — from whole animal butchery to the house-made products we sell, like bacon, pepperoni, jerky and more.

Yes, it’s true that petitioners have submitted more than 120,000 signatures to the Oregon Secretary of State’s office – the minimum required is 117,173.

It’s important to remember that many signatures are often ruled invalid during the verification process, meaning supporters will need thousands more to ultimately qualify for the November 2026 ballot.

Again, meeting the minimum threshold does not automatically guarantee ballot qualification.

Oregon Farm Bureau continues to closely monitor the situation and will provide additional updates as they become available. We know many of you are rightfully concerned about this potential ballot measure — and we are too.

Right now, the most important things you can do is join the opposition coalition on our website, educate your friends, family, and neighbors about this misguided and dangerous effort to eliminate animal agriculture in Oregon, and donate to Feed Oregon as we prepare to defend our farmers and ranchers.
