Medicare can get confusing this time of year — even if you’ve had it for a while.
A few things many Medicare recipients are running into right now:
🔹 Prescription drug deductibles resetting or being higher than expected
🔹 Medications costing more or needing prior approval
🔹 Finding out a doctor or hospital isn’t covered the way they thought
🔹 Uncertainty about what Medicare covers versus what their plan covers
This is where having a Medicare agent can really help. A good agent should be able to:
🔹Explain your benefits in plain language
🔹Help you understand prescription drug costs and coverage
🔹Check providers and medications when something changes
🔹Be available for questions throughout the year, not just at signup

Wellcare Updates & Guidance

In 2026, the Wellcare Spendables® card is migrating to a new vendor, Lynx, providing a more seamless member experience.

📩What Members Can Expect:
All members will receive a new Wellcare Spendables® card by mail.
Cards arrive in a teal and white envelope with a customized carrier explaining available benefits and how to get started.

The My Wellcare Rewards program will now be located within the Wellcare Spendables® portal. Note: Rewards dollars and Wellcare Spendables® balances will continue to be tracked separately.

🔓 Card Activation: First Step to Using the Benefit
Members must activate their card and assign a 4-digit PIN before using it. They can activate and assign their PIN in one of three ways:
By phone: 1-833-647-9661 (TTY 711), available 24/7

Mobile app: Download the Wellcare Spendables® and Rewards app and create an account

Online: Log in to the member portal

🛒 Where Members Can Shop
Once activated, members can shop in-store at 66,000+ participating retailers nationwide, online through the member portal or within the Wellcare Spendables® and Rewards app.
Note: Purchases cannot be made directly on other retailer websites.

Easy ways to find eligible stores or place orders:
Use the Store Finder in the Wellcare Spendables® and Rewards app or portal

Order eligible OTC and Healthy Food items online with convenient 2-day delivery through the member portal or Wellcare Spendables® and Rewards app

Order eligible items for home delivery via Uber Eats

My Wellcare Rewards 2026 Updates
Through the My Wellcare Rewards program, members can earn up to $100 by completing personalized healthy activities.

How members can access their rewards:
Log in to the member portal
View eligible activities and rewards
Complete an attestation confirming finished activities
In 2026, rewards dollars will be loaded directly onto the Wellcare Spendables® card.

2026 Pharmacy Processing Information
Express Scripts Pharmacy will remain the preferred mail-service pharmacy in 2026, offering:
Preferred pharmacy cost sharing
Safe, discreet home delivery
Free standard shipping
Members can enroll or submit new prescriptions at www.express-scripts.com/rx.

💙 It’s enrollment season — and a perfect time for a quick coverage check-in.

Medicare and Marketplace (ACA) plans change every year, and what worked before may no longer be the best fit for your health or budget. These enrollment windows only come around once a year, so now is the time to explore your options with confidence.

🩺 Medicare Annual Enrollment: October 15 – December 7
🏥 ACA Open Enrollment: November 1 – January 15
Important: To have ACA coverage start January 1st, enrollment must be completed by December 15th.
