Florida’s housing market is cooling. Nine metros saw five-figure home value drops, with a median loss of $10,157 from Jan. 2025 to Jan. 2026.
Punta Gorda led declines, down 7.97% (−$26,624) and with seller profits falling from 88.3% to 58%. Other hard-hit areas include Cape Coral–Fort Myers, North Port–Sarasota, Naples, Port St. Lucie, Lakeland, Daytona Beach, and The Villages.
Of 29 metros tracked, only Arcadia, Palatka, Clewiston, and Lake City saw modest gains.
