With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Ceciel Reed. Over her 58 years of service, she exemplified sisterhood, love, and grace. Her warmth, wisdom, and steadfast dedication to others have made a lasting impact on us and our sisterhood. Her legacy will live on forever.

Calling All Graduating Seniors in the Saginaw Area!

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Eta Upsilon Omega Chapter is proud to offer 2026 scholarships to support deserving students as they take the next step in their educational journey.

Scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 will be awarded to graduating high school seniors from the Saginaw area.

Application Window:
February 16, 2026 – March 16, 2026

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a graduating senior
• Minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA
• Demonstrate financial need
• Submit official transcript (Grades 9–first semester senior year)
• Submit 3 letters of recommendation
• Include a typed statement (500 words max) describing educational and career goals
