Great News for FHA borrowers. FHA announced a reduction in MMIP (Monthly Mortgage Insurance Premium) from .85 to .55 (30 bsp) This will help offset higher rates and help make purchasing, or refinancing, a home with a FHA loan more affordable.

New conforming and FHA loan limits just released for 2021. Loan limit for Sacramaneto, El Dorado, and Placer counties will be $548,250. Conforming high balance maximum loan amounts for same area will be $598,000

Some insight into experts forecast on mortgage interest rates for this year. There are a lot of things that can effect interest rates such as economy, politics, national/international disasters, etc. Overall seams like rates may be volatile this year but within a fairly narrow ranges.
