Today marks the beginning of National Co-op Month! 🌾
When Farmers’ Rice Cooperative was founded in 1944, the grower-owners were seeking to control their destiny by milling and marketing their own rice. Today, more than 80 years later, we continue to honor that legacy by putting growers in the driver’s seat of our cooperative business.
This year’s National Co-op Month theme, “Built for This Moment,” is especially fitting for FRC. When times are challenging and volatile, we are reminded of the power of FRC’s founding belief that banding together makes us stronger than we could ever be alone, and of the trusted resiliency of the cooperative business model.
For more than eight decades, FRC has weathered uncertainty, adapted to change, and created opportunity for our grower-owners. FRC offers ownership, value, and stability so our growers can look forward to long-term growth and prosperity.
