A few select carriers in California now offer protection from loss of income due to certain disabling illness or events. Living Benefits can now be included in your life insurance policy at no extra cost. If a qualifying disabling event happens, a long-term care triggering event,

or a critical illness event (such as a heart attack, stroke, cancer), the living benefits in your life insurance policy will allow you to pull cash from the death benefit to pay for the things you may need help with now, while you are still living. Living Benefits are an asset now available to residents in California with a permanent and/or a short-term life insurance policy. If you have family, children or loved ones you would like to protect, make sure that your policy covers you while you are still living, in addition to the death benefit they would receive after you die. Meet Patty:
Patty completed a successful military career in 2001. As a pilot, commander, instructor, and leader she continues to apply many skills learned in the military to her civilian endeavors.

Upon entering civilian life Patty continued to work to better the lives of others. She spent many years teaching and tutoring children at all grade levels and served on a local school board. While working with high school students and families she noted the lack of any personal financial education curriculum, which also persists through college.

Since then, Patty has taken on a personal mission to advocate for and to help people understand how money works.

In 2017 she started her career in the financial services industry specializing in Life Insurance, Annuities, and Long-Term Care. In early 2020 she launched her own brokerage, Schreiter Financial Group.

Patty strives to provide the best care by matching the right product with the needs of her clients.

Patty continues to be an active volunteer in her community. She works to serve children and families in need through volunteering, contributing, and fundraising for local non-profit charities.
