*Happy 21st Birthday!** 🎉

I can't believe that almost 11 years ago, I looked at this 10-year-old kid and had absolutely no idea just how much you were going to mean to me. Now here you are — 21 years old — and I couldn't be more proud of the man you've become.

I've had the privilege of watching you grow through all of it. The awkward middle school years, the highs and the hard times, the moments that shaped you and the ones that tested you. Through every single phase, you showed up. You kept going. And you kept being *you* — and that has always been more than enough.

Watching you grow from that little 10-year-old into the young man standing in front of me today has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I don't take a single moment of it for granted.

Know this — I love you to death. That has never wavered and it never will. No matter where life takes you, no matter what you're facing, I will *always* be in your corner. Always. You will never have to walk through anything alone as long as I'm breathing.

Today is YOUR day. Soak up every second of it. You've earned it, and so much more is still ahead of you.

Today we had the honor of celebrating Brad’s retirement ceremony.

It was truly special to see so many people come out to support and celebrate him — friends, family, and those who have walked alongside him throughout his career. That speaks volumes about the kind of man he is.

Retirement isn’t just the end of a chapter — it’s the closing of years of dedication, sacrifice, early mornings, long days, and unwavering commitment. I’ve had a front-row seat to the hard work, the responsibility, and the heart he has poured into his service.

Brad, I am beyond proud of you. Proud of your integrity. Proud of your leadership. Proud of the impact you’ve made. And proud to stand beside you today and always.

Here’s to the next chapter — slower mornings, new adventures, and a well-earned retirement. ❤️

February 4, 1998.

The day I raised my right hand and committed to something bigger than myself.

I couldn’t have known then where the Air Force would take me—only that I was ready to serve. What followed were 22 years of growth, sacrifice, resilience, and purpose. The long nights, early mornings, and deployments that shaped me—they tested my strength, sharpened my perspective, and forever changed how I see the world and my place in it.

Those deployments taught me adaptability, humility, and the true meaning of teamwork. They showed me the cost of service, the power of unity, and the unbreakable bonds formed in the hardest moments. I didn’t come back the same person—and I’m grateful for that.

Now, six years into retirement, the uniform may be off, but the mission continues. Service doesn’t end—it simply looks different. Today, I carry that same sense of duty forward through the VFW, honoring those who came before us, supporting those still serving, and standing up for veterans who need a voice.

I’m proud of where I started.

Thankful for every Airman who stood beside me.
And honored to continue serving—just in a new way.

To my fellow Airmen and veterans: thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the lifelong family.
