This is a great list of ways to save money! I'm retired from full time work with a retirement of about 25% of what I was making + lifetime medical. I'm working at home building family websites with passive income streams which takes time to build the site/traffic, so I'm looking for every way possible to save money. This month, I cancelled my cell phone - if it looks like I can't do w/o, I'll get a cheapo one and some phone minute cards solely for emergency purposes. I also switched to a credit union and I'm in the process of moving all my automatic deductions from Bank of America - $15/mo savings + lower fees all the way around. I make coffee at home now and rarely eat out. Next year, I'm seriously planting a vegetable garden in the back yard. What tips do YOU have that have helped you/your family save money??

Do you spend that 30 minutes a day reading for education or career reasons?
