Rockwall Youth Community Athletics (RYCA) Jackets are proud to be a part of the Rockwall County community as a youth sports program. RYCA has strong commitment principles and will strive to be a community-driven organization with the genuine participation of athletes, volunteers, parents, family members, teachers, sch
ool administrators and local businesses. We encourage the RYCA Family to attend community and district events and to always support our community and display our Jacket Pride. RYCA will make every effort to make sure that every child, Kindergarten through Sixth Grade, with the desire to participate gets the opportunity to play or cheer, without regard to financial costs, prior experience, athletic ability or size. We are devoted to inspiring our young athletes and will give them the challenge of competition, the joy of victory, the reality of defeat, the importance of commitment and spirit in the community. We believe these values and virtues are important to athletes’ growth and to them becoming active members of our community and society. RYCA Jackets is on a mission to give back to the community, to be the community’s' youth sports program, to rally Stingers’ Up! Community Involvement, An Open-Invitation
To Partner with the county’s schools by:
* Band students playing the Star-Spangled Banner
* Choir students singing the Star-Spangled Banner
* Art students creating banners for players to run-through and spirit posters for the community
* Honor students doing coin-tosses
* Yearbook students using photography skills
* Media students recording plays and emceeing games and competitions
To Partner with community organizations such as: J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall, Girls and Boys Club of America, Girl Scouts of U.S.A., Boy Scouts of America and Helping Hands.
